Retail Mural Project

Illustration & Concept: Vasylysa Shchogoleva Interior Design: Maria Tselik
Client: K15
Service: Mural
Location: Kharkiv, UA

Original concept of the project consisted of two stages. Stage I: Basic illustration that depicts the space of the neighborhood around the grocery store, K15, in lines and with colors that reflect the seasons (from left to right: winter, spring, summer, autumn) connected by a shared community banquet table. Stage II: workshop with local residents during which illustrations are created of our neighbors (portraits of ourselves, our friends, family, acquaintances); our pets (pets, wildlife and birds); and local plants (trees, flowers). Illustrations are processed and enlarged to the required size as shown on renderings.

Initial concept sketches, top image reflects Phase I and bottom image reflects Phase II:

MATERIALIZING: Photo I Printing, Photo II Community Workshop, and in order to combine the existing illustration from Stage I and the new illustrations from Stage II, they can be printed as large stickers and glued to the existing work similar to project done before, shown below.
